CEF Eid and Spring Celebration Event 2025

Esteemed and Honorable Citizens, As you are well aware, the Community Empowerment Foundation (CEF) hosted a grand celebration on Sunday, April 13, 2025, in one of the beautiful parks of Vancouver, Washington, in honor of the ancient festival of Nowruz and the blessed occasion of Eid al-Fitr. This event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of a large number of citizens from diverse segments of the community—including women, men, youth, and beloved children—who joined with exceptional excitement and joy, creating an atmosphere truly filled with happiness, celebration, and unity. The program included social interactions, traditional games, a volleyball tournament among the youth, and special entertainment activities designed for our esteemed children.  The Community Empowerment Foundation launched its inaugural ceremony participated by dozens of our community members and heads/representatives of partner organizations in Beaverton’s library conference room on 01/02/2025. The ceremony began with recitation of verses of the Holy Quran, followed by an opening remarks by Mr. Abdul Saboor Hassan, one of the foundation’s board members. He shared the journey of the Community Empowerment Foundation (CEF) and emphasized on its key role in the society as a bridge connecting people with to resources and other communities and organizations. Following the agenda, Mrs. Marion Barret presented a presentation on Oregon Domestic Violence Laws and potential consequences for community members especially new immigrants if not adhered to. The audience warmly welcomed the celebration, expressing their support and cooperation with the Community Empowerment Foundation in future projects and programs.

March 8th women day

 On March 9th, 2025, the Community Empowerment Foundation (CEF) proudly celebrated International Women's Day in the presence of our community and a large group of women at the Holgate Library’s community room. The event began with a recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by speeches highlighting the valuable role of women in the progress and advancement of society. The CEF Women’s Committee then organized several short recreational programs, which were warmly received by the participants. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of gifts.
